Fire up the BBQ and lets have TACOS! Here is a low carb taco recipe that you can really get your ÒMicro NutrientsÓ in! Micro Nutrients are the vitamins and minerals our foods contain, we need these to thrive as humans and grow our muscles! Fruits, veggies, and red meat contains the biggest micro nutrient hits, so here is the recipe for one of my favourite meals.
IngredientsÊ
Romaine lettuceÊ
Italian parsley
Broccoli slaw
Broccoli sproutsÊ
Salsa of choiceÊ
Flank steakÊ
olive oilÊ
Red wine vinegarÊ
Garlic
Salt
Pepper
Directions
Lightly salt flank steak and grill to your likingÊ
Let rest for at least 5min before cutting into strips (cut against the grain of the meat)
While waiting for your meat to ÒrestÓ lets make the Chimichurri sauce.
Chimichurri sauceÊ
In a blender combineÊ
1 cup of Italian parsleyÊ
3 crushed and chopped cloves of garlicÊ
1/3 cup of olive oilÊ
1/3 cup of red wine vinegarÊ
Pinch of salt and pepperÊ
Blend until smoothÊ
Then using romaine lettuce at taco cups layer the salsa, steak topped with chimichurri sauce, broccoli slaw, broccoli sprouts and enjoy!!
